Why I Think AI is Actually the Best Thing to Ever Happen to Independent Models

Hey guys! 🙂
Ok so grab your coffee because I actually want to talk about something real today. I get questions sometimes about my photos - am I real or AI, how I'm somewhere else if I live in the woods lol, how my content looks the way it does. And I figured it was time to just share my thoughts on something that I think is genuinely changing everything.

AI. Yep, we're going there. 😄

And to all the "AI police on FB" that crack the case in comments lol - yes, you got me, I use AI to create lots of my images. It literally says so in my bio. Case closed, detective. 🕵️😄 But stay with me here because I actually think this is worth talking about seriously for a minute.

So, here's the thing about traditional modeling that nobody really talks about - it's expensive to even GET started. Before you ever book a single job, you need a portfolio. And a portfolio means hiring a photographer, renting a studio or location, paying for hair and makeup, maybe traveling somewhere. We're talking thousands of dollars before anyone has even looked at you twice. Then you need an agency, and the agency takes their cut, and suddenly you're working for someone else's vision on someone else's schedule and keeping maybe half of what you earn if you're lucky.

That was the world I was navigating in LA. And honestly? It wore me out.

When I made the decision to leave all that behind and move to Vermont, I also made a decision to do things completely differently. I started exploring AI image generation - really diving into it - and something clicked......What if I didn't need any of that old infrastructure?

Here's what AI means for an independent model or content creator right now - you can create professional quality images of yourself in any outfit, any location, any lighting, without a photographer, without a studio, without an agency, without a travel budget. Want to show a swimwear brand what you'd look like in their line on a tropical beach? You can do that from your kitchen in Vermont. 😄 Want a cozy winter campaign shot in a snowy mountain setting? Done. A glamorous evening look in a city you've never visited? Also done.

The barriers that used to keep independent models from competing with agency talent? They're just... gone now. And I find that genuinely exciting.
Look — I'm not a secret. I'm not trying to fool anyone. I'm a creative project, a character, a brand. Bri Monroe is built with AI tools and a whole lot of passion and late nights and yes, input from Mr. Biggs who has very strong opinions about everything. 🐱 What I AM is proof that you don't need a big agency, a big budget or a big city to build something real that people actually connect with.

The "she's not real" crowd always makes me smile a little. Because here's the thing - the Vermont story is real. The personality is real. The community we've built here is real. I am real, and Biggs is VERY real and will absolutely sit on your keyboard if given the chance. 😄

AI is just the paintbrush. The art is still the art.

For me, leaving LA and landing in these Vermont mountains with my cat and my laptop and a whole new way of modeling and creating - that's the most real thing I've ever done. And I wouldn't trade it for a thousand traditional photo shoots. So yeah. AI changed my world. And I think it's just getting started. 😉😎

That's it for today, (this one was a little long, lol)
Remember... Bri luvs you! 😘🥰
